The highlight of my summer! Maybe even my life!! Ha ha. For those of you who know of my love "or obsession some may call it" for David Cook, this concert was the best thing ever!! This is one of my very best friends Jamie. She and I are die hard American Idol lovers. She instantly loved Michael Johns and I from day one loved David Cook. We never missed a show. So as soon as we found out the tour was coming to SLC, we bought tickets. I got a sitter and she took work off and we made a whole day of it. We went shopping, got our makeup done, went to dinner, and off we went to the best concert EVER!!!! We were decked to the 9's and we had the time of our lives!!

Yes there he is!! Isn't he gorgeous! After the concert we found out the idols would come out and sign autographs. So of course we waited. We only met two, the first night. I also found out that the next day if I came back up to the E Center at 1pm they would be back signing again. So I packed up the kids and off we went. We waited 3 1/2 hours in the heat, but YES it was worth it. We were 1st in line for everyone that came out. We got our pictures with everyone of them and their autographs. We met Jamie's boyfriend, Michael Johns. My kids told me I made a fool out of myself. But it must have been worth it because I got him to talk to Jamie on my phone and then got myself on the news!! It was INCREDIBLE!!!

I LOVE HIM!! I told him his future wife and stepchildren were waiting for him. Ha Ha! And Yes, Corby knows of my obsession and is perfectly ok with it. I just love him! He is amazing when he performs, SEXY!! Yeah I am borderline stalker. So watch out David Cook. I felt like a teenager again. My kids had so much fun, and they got to see their mom be crazy and have a great time!

FREEDOM RUN!

My second 10k in 3 weeks. Agghh!
I have developed such a love for running.
I promised myself I would do a few races this
summer so two down and at least a few more
to go. I finished this one in 1hr 1min 58 sec.
This course had more hills than the previous one.
It was wonderful! I passed Corby and the kids along
the parade route and my mom and Brent were
waiting for me at the finish line!

We finally made out camping! We had such a good time. The weather was so beautiful! The kids just go, go, go! The 4 wheeler never stops from sun up until sun down. They love it. So do we.

I have become a runner!! One of my very best friends ran the Crack of Dawn 10k with me on June 7th. It was supposed to be a beautiful sunny morning. But as we all know, June was rainy, cold and sometimes snowy. So we ran in the cold. We finished in exactly 60 minutes. WOW!! I was so proud, especially because this time my husband didn't miss me at the finish line.

I decided to pack up my kids and take them on an adventure. Jeff and Taryn both live in California now so Spring Break is here and off we went to visit. We left on Thurs. April 10th and set out for Primm NV. We got a dvd player for Christmas from our good friends so I didn't even hear from them until we hit St. George. Poor Grandpa Leroy and Grandma Angie, who met us for lunch. The kids talked their ears off. It was good to see them too. We got back in the car and headed for Primm. The next morning we got up early and headed for Jeffrey's. We arrived about 1pm, the kids were so good but they had had it! The next morning we again got up early and headed north for Santa Barbara to spend the 4 days with Taryn and her kids. It was fabulous. I hope you enjoy some of our pictures. We spent close to 27 hours driving 1700 + miles. I am still sane and my kids survived!! I had a great time. I hope my kids did!

Jaxon didn't want to come to the beach at first, but when we got there he didn't get out of the water the entire time we were there. He body surfed for almost 2 hours. He caught a pretty good wave here!!

Our first stop in California was to Uncle Jeff and Aunt Syd's in Oceanside. They brought us to the beach in Carlsbad, which is beautiful and the temp was in the high 70's, PERFECT!! Then we had to stop in at the Pizza Port, my favorite!! It was so good to see them, I miss them so much!!!

Damon was getting tired from all the swimming. We got to Taryn's at 11am on Sat. April 12th and didn't get out of the pool until 430pm.

This is just one of the many sand crabs the kids found on the beach. They were so excited. They had to call their dad everytime they found one, as if it were the first. Colbi even thought she was going to bring hers home.

here to see this amazing view. What a sight!!
I remember coming here when I was just 7 for
my great-grandmothers funeral.

We came back to Mesquite for the last 2 days of our journey. I just wanted to sit
in the sun and let the kids swim. My friend Alisha met me there with her 2 kids.
We had a great time. The kids swam for 6 hours that day. They loved it. Me too!!
It was snowing at home.

We went to Missy's this weekend for the Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife
Banquet. Oh what fun!! We had a great meal and spent lots of
money hoping to win great prizes, the grand prize was a new
4 wheeler, which we did not win. But we had a great time anyway.
We crammed 21 people in Missy's house, aahh!!!!! It was fun!!

Colbi loves horses and asks all the time if she can ride. This weekend while at her Aunt Missy's she got her chance. Uncle Clint saddled up Addie and let the kids have a turn. She loved it, even though the temperature was only in the low 30's

This is on the beautiful island of St. Lucia. Which was our last of five ports.
We visited St. Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados and the St. Lucia
Barados had the most gorgeous beach we have ever been on and the snorkeling
was amazing. Here in St. Lucia we went zip lining through the rain forest which I
thought was fantastic. Although, no big surprise to any of you, my favorite part
of the whole trip was laying on the beach!! Corby and I had so much fun
together. I will get an album together and send a link out soon. I am sure by the
next time I post something my tan will have faded, but maybe we will be closer to spring.

My cute husband and I were also lucky enough to take a trip together. We flew to New York for one very awesome night before flying to Santo Domingo to start a Southern Caribbean Cruise. NYC was amazing. I have only been there as a child and Corby had never been. We only had about 8 hours, but we packed it all in. We rode the subway, both for the first time. Saw the World Trade Center site, Times Square, Rockerfeller Center, Broadway, you name it, our feet took us there. It was amazing!! With only two hours of sleep we headed to the airport to fly to Santo Domingo for the warm part of our trip!!

At the first of the year I was lucky enough to go to Las Vegas with some of my best
girlfriends for a much deserved weekend getaway. We shopped, ate and shopped some
more. And of course on the way home, got caught in the worst snow storm EVER!!! I was
nominated to drive of course. AAAHHH!!!

Merry Christmas!! We had a wonderful Christmas. We were able to have a great time with a lot of our friends at a first to be annual party. We had the entire Draney family over to our house for a Christmas party. Which was great since about half now live out of the state. And all of my family came home for Christmas and we celebrated Christmas Eve together as we always do. This year was especially wonderful because my mother should have been in the hospital recovering from a kidney transplant. But thanks to many, many prayers her health improved enough to postpone the surgery until sometime in the spring. Yeah!! Merry Christmas to her!!

As soon as there was enough snow Jaxon was out on his snowboard. He is quite good too. He has been harassing me since he found out Grandma Jill had all of our old skis and now wants to learn to ski.

Colbi lost her first tooth and she was so stinking excited. She is one of the very last of the kids her
age and she thought she would never have a loose tooth. About a week later she lost the one
right next to it.

candy. Colbi and Damon just wanted to eat theirs.

Corby is out of town working so we were trying to get

trick or treating. Damon loved every bit of it. It did
quite a few houses before wanting to stay in the stroller.

Corby helped the kids carve their pumpkins. They loved it!!
Damon of course has a lightning bolt and the #95 for
Lightning McQueen. Colbi just wanted hers to look like Jaxon's,
but she settled for what her daddy could come up with.
Jaxon didn't care as long as it only had one tooth.
And as for me, I didn't have to do it. I have carved their
pumpkins for the last two years by myself, so I sat on the
couch and watched. Hallelujah!!

The Draney family was established August 15, 1997. Wow, 10 years ago. Jaxon is now 8 years old and was just baptized last month. He is going into the 3rd grade this year. He just finished his first year of machine pitch baseball and made the all star team!! He was great and loved every bit of it, especially playing with his cousin Kaleb. Colbi turned 6 in May and she is getting so big. She is the best big sister. She loves to teach Damon new things, especially new words and actions. She is so sweet and kind, until her demon side comes out. She is so much like her mother. She is enjoying summer, I think her favorite is going to the pool. She is so proud she can now go down the slide. And then there is little Damon. He just turned 2 last week. We can't believe it!! He is talking so much!! He says everything and it is so adorable. He is such a mama's boy but he adores his daddy too. He absolutely loves his brother and his sissy. He talks about them all the time. He was so confused as to where they were when they were gone for 5 days to Aunt Missy's in Idaho. Corby is busy with work. Still plugging away trying to get his businsess off the ground. He is working very hard!! We are keeping are fingers crossed for some good luck! And me, I am working at the DeLeon Salon doing nails and at home doing nails. I also do travel work for a lady in California. It keeps me busy, plus trying to keep up with these three wonderful kids of mine.
